Karla Sanchez is a bilingual staff therapist at the Center for Community Solutions, a position held since June 2018. Prior to this role, Karla worked as a bilingual clinician at San Diego Youth Services from August 2017 to June 2018 and completed a therapist trainee program at the Center for Community Solutions between August 2016 and June 2017. Karla began the professional journey at Vista Hill Foundation, serving as a rehabilitation specialist from September 2012 to June 2016. Educationally, Karla earned a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from National University from 2015 to 2017.

Since 1969, Center for Community Solutions has evolved into a leader in San Diego County and in California for providing compassionate, professional, and innovative solutions for helping individuals who have been affected by relationship violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Our community-based and collaborative programs aim to eliminate societal conditions that condone and perpetuate violence and abuse, and they include: • 24-hour crisis hotline • 24-hour in-person emergency crisis response to victims of sexual assault • 24-hour emergency shelters for domestic violence victims and their children • Long-term emergency shelter • Accompaniment to forensic exams for survivors of rape and sexual assault • Legal services, court accompaniment and on-going client services • Individual, child, and family counseling • Prevention and education • Community Outreach CCS operates the only Rape Crisis Center in San Diego. Last year CCS served over 22,000 individuals affected by intimate partner violence, sexual assault and stalking.
