Cathay Lancaster is currently working as a Couple and Family Therapist at Hauser Family Therapy. Prior to this role, Cathay worked at The Sugar Syndicate as a Knowledge Worker, where Cathay served as Owner, Pastry Chef, and Consultant. With a background in pastry work, Cathay also held positions at Vanille Patisserie, Sofitel Luxury Hotels and Resorts, and Upshot. Additionally, Cathay has experience in conflict resolution as a Mediator at the Center for Conflict Resolution. Cathay obtained a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from Northwestern University and a B.S. in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

The Chicago based Center for Conflict Resolution is one of the nation's premier not-for-profit providers of mediation services and hands-on mediation training. We maintain a standard of excellence in continuing education recognized by the Circuit Court of Cook County, and our volunteer mediators have handled more than 40,000 disputes since our founding in 1979. Every year, knowledgeable, dedicated volunteers and staff mediate — pro bono — cases with more than 5,000 people, train hundreds of new mediators, facilitate meetings and work with dozens of businesses, government agencies and organizations to create custom-designed dispute resolution systems and training programs.
