Tom Melançon

Tom Melançon is an experienced professional currently serving as a National Projects Mediator with the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service since June 2016, focusing on support for mediators and managers in the areas of industrial relations, negotiated rulemaking, and administrative dispute resolution. Previous roles include Strategy Officer and Commissioner at FMCS, Mediator and Program Manager at the Seattle Federal Executive Board, and various positions within the U.S. Department of Labor, where responsibilities ranged from technical writing to claims examination and project management. Additionally, Tom has a creative side as a songwriter, actor, and podcast host, having formed the band "American Flats" in 2019.
