Bill Mains

Bill Mains is an accomplished professional in leadership development and education with extensive experience in higher education and coaching. Currently serving as the Director of Member and Chapter Development at the Center for Conscientious Leadership since 2018, Bill Mains fosters character and leadership growth among members. As a Faculty Lecturer at Santa Clara University since August 2024, Bill Mains teaches on leadership and purpose while also providing coaching services through Bill Mains Coaching, which focuses on unlocking the potential of individuals and teams. Previous roles at Santa Clara University include Director of Assessment & Special Projects and Director of Sustainability & Leadership Programs, emphasizing leadership curricula and immersive experiences. Bill Mains has also held positions at San Jose State University, Loyola Marymount University, and the University of the Pacific. Bill Mains holds multiple advanced degrees, including an MBA from Santa Clara University, and has a strong background in psychology, counseling, and theology.
