Katie Huang is a Strategy & Innovation Associate at the Center for Disaster Philanthropy, contributing to project management and communication efforts. Previously worked as a Program Assistant for Learning & Partnerships, supporting data management and educational initiatives. At Harm Reduction Ohio, served as a Finance Associate responsible for transaction records and budget planning, and held roles as a Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator and Research Intern. Additional experience includes engaging voters as a Virtual Canvasser for the Ohio Women's Alliance Action Fund, volunteering at Weightless Anchor Women's Shelter, and conducting market research at Clarigent Health. Educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government and History from the University of Cincinnati.

CDP’s mission is to leverage the power of philanthropy to mobilize a full range of resources that strengthen the ability of communities to withstand disasters and recover equitably when they occur. With an emphasis on recovery and disaster risk reduction, CDP aims to: • Increase the effectiveness of contributions given to disasters • Bring greater attention to the life cycle of disasters, from preparedness and planning, to relief, to rebuilding and recovery efforts • Provide timely and relevant advice from experts with deep knowledge of disaster philanthropy • Conduct due diligence so donors can give with confidence • Create plans for informed giving for individuals, corporations and foundations
