Mitesh Popat

Mitesh Popat has a diverse work experience spanning various healthcare organizations. Mitesh currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Venice Family Clinic since December 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Chief Clinical Officer at Sprinter Health starting in March 2021. Additionally, in 2021, they served as an Advisor at Tivic Health and Pair Team.

From 2012 onwards, Mitesh Popat held leadership roles at Center For Discovery as the Medical Director and at Marin Community Clinics. At Marin Community Clinics, they served as the Chief Executive Officer from October 2017 to December 2022, overseeing a comprehensive outpatient health system. Before this, they held the role of Chief Medical Officer from November 2013 to November 2017, where they implemented team-based and patient-centered care practices.

Furthermore, Mitesh Popat was also involved in the healthcare community through their role as Commissioner at Partnership HealthPlan of California. Mitesh held this position from February 2017 to December 2022 and served on the board of a managed Medi-Cal plan. Lastly, they worked at La Clínica de La Raza as an Associate Medical Director from September 2010 to October 2013, overseeing clinics, expanding services, and implementing an electronic health record system.

Mitesh Popat has a diverse education history. Mitesh first attended UC Irvine, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Economics, Biological Sciences, and Conflict Resolution. Later, they pursued a medical career at Tufts University School of Medicine, obtaining a dual degree of MD and MPH. Following this, Mitesh Popat moved on to Stanford University School of Medicine, specializing in O'Connor Hospital Family Medicine Residency. Finally, they engaged in the Fellowship program at the University of California, San Francisco, focusing on the CHCF Health Care Leadership Program.
