Lael Freeman

Lael Freeman, MA, currently serves as the Community School Director at The Center for Educational Innovation since July 2023, where responsibilities include leading school needs assessments and coordinating services and programs for students, families, and the community. Freeman has been the Owner of Advanced Business Consultants since January 2007, providing working capital and leasing programs for small and mid-sized businesses. Previous roles include Assistant Program Director and Program Director at New York Edge from March 2022 to July 2023, and Educational Consultant for Promethean and the NYC Department of Education, focusing on professional development for educators. Freeman's earlier experience includes teaching positions at Huntington Learning Centers and Practice Makes Perfect, as well as a Loan Consultant role at Washington Mutual Home Loans. Educational qualifications include ongoing PhD studies in Organizational Leadership at Columbia International University and multiple degrees from Empire State University, including a Master's in Social and Public Policy.
