David McKinney

David McKinney is an accomplished leader in the nonprofit sector with extensive experience in youth programs and public affairs. Currently serving as Vice President of YouthTruth at the Center for Effective Philanthropy, McKinney previously held the position of Executive Director for Youth Leadership Programs at The Aspen Institute. David's earlier roles include Executive Vice President of Public Affairs at TNTP and Director of the Center for Engagement & Neighborhood Building at the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities. McKinney has a long history with Public Allies, where David advanced through various leadership positions, including Vice President of Programming and Chief of Staff. McKinney began their career as a Community Organizer at MidTown Neighborhood Association. McKinney holds a Bachelor of Science in Education Policy from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
