M.D. Sumon Ali

Md Sumon Ali is currently a Research Consultant at the Center for Environmental and Geographic Information Services (CEGIS) since October 2023, providing consultancy services for projects within the Remote Sensing Division. Prior to this role, Md Sumon Ali worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Rajshahi from March 2020 to September 2023, contributing to projects on heatwave patterns and socio-economic impacts of riverbank erosion under the supervision of Dr. Mizanoor Rahman and Zihad Ahmed, respectively. Md Sumon Ali holds a Master of Science degree in Geography and Environmental Studies, acquired from the University of Rajshahi in September 2023, and a Bachelor of Science degree in the same field, completed in August 2022. The educational background also includes an HSC in Science from Nawabganj Govt. College, and earlier schooling achievements from Kholsi Bilateral High School and Kholsi Govt. Primary School.
