Malik Fida A. Khan is an accomplished professional with over 29 years of extensive experience in Water Resources Planning and Management, Climate Change, Information Technology, and Development projects in Bangladesh. Currently serving as Executive Director at the Center for Environmental and Geographic Information Services (CEGIS), Malik has held various leadership roles including Deputy Executive Director (Operations) and Director of the Climate Change and Disaster Management Division, where engagement in policy-level decision-making and multi-dimensional research has been prominent. Malik has a strong background in technology and engineering, having previously worked as Manager of Business Development and Water Resources Engineer at the Environment & GIS Support Project for Water Sector Planning (EGIS-II), among other roles in different organizations. An alumnus of the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education with a Master’s degree in Hydro-informatics and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Malik combines academic knowledge with practical expertise for impactful contributions in the field.
