Kizzy Charles-Guzman currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at the Center for Environmental Health since 2023. Previously, Kizzy held key leadership roles in New York City's climate and environmental sectors, including Executive Director at the NYC Mayor's Office of Climate and Environmental Justice and Deputy Director at the NYC Mayor's Office. Kizzy's extensive experience encompasses serving as Policy Director at The Nature Conservancy, where responsibility included developing climate resiliency strategies, and as Director of the Climate Change and Public Health Program at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, focusing on enhancing community resilience to climate change. Kizzy also contributed as Policy Advisor for the NYC Mayor's Office of Long Term Planning and Sustainability and as Environmental Policy Coordinator for West Harlem Environmental Action. Kizzy holds a Master of Science in Natural Resources Management and Policy from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts in Geology and Environmental Studies from Carleton College.
