Karen Barrett

Karen Barrett has over two decades of experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on managed care and contracting. Karen began their career in 1990 as a Legislative & Constituent Aide for the Ohio House of Representatives. In 1994, they became the Member Services & Education Director for the Ohio Association of Health Plans. In 1999, they took a position as Provider Relations Representative with Aetna, where they negotiated contracts with large physician groups and outpatient facilities. In 2006, they became Senior Managed Care Contract Specialist at OSU Wexner Medical Center, representing the medical center in negotiations and promoting specialized services. In their current role as Board Member at Center for Family Health, they continue to work to improve access to quality healthcare for all.

Karen Barrett has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The Ohio State University.
