Silvano Cazares, MA, LMHC has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Silvano began their career in 2008 at the YMCA of Orange, where they served as a Leader, Summer Camp Counselor, Summer Site Director, and Pre-school Teacher. Silvano then worked as an Instructional Aide/Recreation staff member at Fullerton School District from 2010 to 2013. Following this, from 2013 to 2015, they worked as a Family Resource Specialist at Fullerton School District-Orangethorpe Elementary and also as a Child Care Worker at Hart Community Homes INC.

In 2015, Silvano joined Molina Healthcare as a Personal Service Coordinator. Silvano then transitioned to the University of Mount Saint Vincent, where they served as a Hall Director from 2016 to 2018. From 2018 to 2023, Silvano held multiple roles at Cayuga Centers, including Bilingual Clinician, Assistant Director of Clinical Services, and ultimately Director of Clinical Services.

In 2021, Silvano started working as a Mental Health Counselor at Soul Discovery Mental Health Counseling. In 2023, they joined Center For Family Services as the Intensive Post Release Service Clinical Director and Headway as a Psychotherapist.

Silvano Cazares, MA, LMHC has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Human Services, General from California State University, Fullerton, which was obtained from 2007 to 2013. They also have an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities from Fullerton College, obtained from 2008 to 2010. Silvano has a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University, obtained from 2016 to 2018. They have recently earned an Advanced Certificate in Mental Health Counseling from Alfred University in 2021. Silvano also holds additional certifications, including being a Licensed Mental Health Counselor from the New York State Education Department, obtained in September 2023. They have also passed the NCMHCE (National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination) in October 2022, which was administered by The National Board for Certified Counselors.
