Suzanne Nasipak-Chapman is the current Chair at the Center for Governmental Research. Suzanne has extensive experience in both the for-profit and non-profit sector, with a focus on risk management and community outreach.
Suzanne started their career in insurance 25 years ago with Hatch Leonard Naples. In 2005, the firm merged with First Niagara Risk Management, where Suzanne served as Rochester’s Regional Director of Insurance. In this role, they oversaw an office of approximately 100 risk management employees, with over 1,200 clients.
In 2011, Suzanne left First Niagara to join Greater Rochester Enterprise as a Finance Committee Member. Suzanne served in this role for five years before joining Geva Theatre Center as a Board Member in 2012. Suzanne remains active with Geva today.
Most recently, Suzanne has been working with the Center for Governmental Research, where they currently serve as Chair. In this role, Suzanne is responsible for business development across local divisions of First Niagara Financial Group. Suzanne also coordinates community development, philanthropic outreach and mentoring grants for the Rochester area.
Suzanne earned a psychology degree from Boston College. This educational background led to a specialization in the non-profit and healthcare industry, and helped their play a role in establishing First Niagara’s Social Service and Healthcare Division. Suzanne is also well-known for their expertise in risk mitigation for manufacturing and technology firms.
Suzanne Nasipak-Chapman has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Boston College.
