Valerie Flores, MGS, is an experienced professional in gerontology and health care services. Currently serving as a Program Officer at the Center for Health Care Strategies since June 2022, Valerie previously held roles at the Area Agency on Aging, including Medicaid Benefits Counselor, where responsibilities encompassed managing a caseload for Medicaid eligibility processes and providing guidance regarding long-term services. With a strong background in research and education from Miami University, where Valerie earned a Master's degree in Gerontology, and the University of Central Florida, which conferred a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Valerie has contributed significantly through various roles, including teaching, conducting research on caregiving and dementia care, and developing wellness programs for older adults.
