Christy O'Brien

Christy O'Brien, MSW, LICSW, currently serves as the Senior Division Director at the Center for Human Development (CHD), overseeing the Division of Diversion, Shelter, and Housing since September 2022. O'Brien also holds the position of Senior Regional Program Director for CHD’s Central Region CBHC and Outpatient Clinical Services. In addition to these roles, O'Brien operates a private psychotherapy practice and serves as a Field Supervisor at Westfield State University. Previous experience includes serving as Program Director and Clinical Director at Friends of the Homeless, as well as Clinic Supervisor at Clinical & Support Options, Inc. O'Brien has an educational background in clinical psychology with a Master’s degree from Smith College and a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Mount Holyoke College.
