Kevin Cuellar-Roca is a Student Assistance Specialist at the Center for Human Services since January 2020, providing short-term educational, preventive, and intervention services to K-12 students. Prior experience includes roles as a Substitute Teacher at Aspire Public Schools and Ceres Unified School District, where responsibilities included managing classroom behavior and modifying instructional plans. Kevin also served as a Substitute Teacher with Swing Education, demonstrating knowledge of district policies and maintaining student records. Previous positions include construction work at CREATIVE BUILDING, where project management and supervision were key duties, and as a Fitness Manager at Country Club Services, Inc., focusing on staff management and business operations. Kevin holds a Master’s degree in Counselor Education from California State University, Stanislaus, and a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the same institution.

Center for Human Services opened in 1970 as Head Rest, a drop-in center for youth who needed support. Now, with over 250 paid staff, at least 100 volunteers, and operating budget of 12 million dollars, CHS serves over 20,000 clients a year through programs in the areas of shelter, juvenile justice services, mental health counseling, school-based services, family resource centers, and substance abuse prevention and treatment. Our services continue to support the youth and families of Stanislaus County. CHS has a long history here, and we do what we can in response to the needs of our community.
