Center for Human Services (CHS)
Tala Frazier is a dedicated behavioral health clinician and licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with extensive experience in the mental health field. Currently employed at the Center for Human Services since November 2017, Tala previously worked as a mental health clinician with Catholic Charities, focusing on home-based interventions for depressed adults aged 60 and older. Following a role as a recreation leader for the City of Riverside, Tala has a strong academic background, holding a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California, a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice from California State University, Stanislaus, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from the same institution.

Center for Human Services opened in 1970 as Head Rest, a drop-in center for youth who needed support. Now, with over 250 paid staff, at least 100 volunteers, and operating budget of 12 million dollars, CHS serves over 20,000 clients a year through programs in the areas of shelter, juvenile justice services, mental health counseling, school-based services, family resource centers, and substance abuse prevention and treatment. Our services continue to support the youth and families of Stanislaus County. CHS has a long history here, and we do what we can in response to the needs of our community.
