John Baker

John Baker is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in data management and policy analysis, particularly within the context of urban housing and transportation systems. As the Director at the Center for NYC Neighborhoods since August 2016, John Baker leads data-driven research focusing on the New York housing market and guides policy related to Climate, Resiliency, and Federal issues. Prior roles include serving as Deputy Director for HAF Data and Technology and Senior Data Manager. John Baker's background includes technical expertise gained at Consensus Systems Technologies, as well as analytical work at the Rudin Center for Transportation Policy and Management and research at the SUNY Research Foundation. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Comparative History of Ideas from the University of Washington and a Master's degree in Geography from the University at Buffalo.
