Lesley Markham

Program Manager, Policy at Center for Open Science

Lesley Markham is the current Program Manager for Policy at the Center for Open Science. Lesley has over 20 years of experience in management and senior leadership roles. Prior to their current position, Lesley was the Senior Manager of Impact Initiatives at the Association of Science and Technology Centers from February 2013 to March 2021. In this role, they were responsible for leading a team that developed and implemented strategies to increase the impact of science centers on their communities.

Before their work at the Association of Science and Technology Centers, Lesley served as the Executive Director of the North American Committee for St. George’s College, Jerusalem from February 2013 to October 2016. In this role, they managed all aspects of the organization, including fundraising, marketing, and program development.

Lesley has also held management positions at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Alexandria and Trinity Episcopal Church of Hartford. Lesley began their career as a corporate tax advisor at Grant Thornton UK LLP and EY.

Lesley Markham completed a Master of Science in Environmental Science and Policy at George Mason University. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science at King's College London.
