Steve D.

Steve D. has extensive experience in organizing and strategic leadership within various activist organizations. Currently serving as Chief of Staff at Popular Democracy since January 2014, Steve D. has held multiple positions including Senior Strategist, Director of Organizing, and Interim Co-Manager of Base-Building. Prior to Popular Democracy, Steve D. was the Director of the Mid-Atlantic Region at the Leadership Center for the Common Good and also held significant roles at Communities United and SEIU, including Lead Organizer & Interim Executive Director and Senior Organizing Consultant, respectively. Earlier career stages included positions at Active Citizen Project and ACORN, where Steve D. focused on community outreach and organizing initiatives. Steve D. holds a BA in International Relations from William & Mary and a Holistic Health certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
