Shannon Thrift is a seasoned Graphic Designer with extensive experience in various roles within the design industry. At the Center for Puppetry Arts since February 2020, Shannon has served as Lead Graphic Designer, Multi-Media Marketing Manager, and Museum Services Coordinator. Previously, Shannon contributed as a Freelance Graphic Designer for College Publications, Inc., and collaborated with clients on dynamic ad designs while ensuring production readiness. Additional experience includes freelance work for DANESC REP 24/7, showcasing web and UI/UX design projects, and collaboration on magazine spreads for PAGE Magazine. Previous positions also include graphic design roles at Jay Geier's Scheduling Institute, The Waycross Journal Herald, The Blackshear Times, and Campus Recreation and Intramurals. Shannon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design from Georgia Southern University.

The Center for Puppetry Arts is home to nearly 5000 puppets and artifacts including the largest collection of Jim Henson puppets in the world. We present over 500 performances for children and adults each year featuring local, national and international artists. We offer over 50 distinctive outreach and on-site educational programs; and a Digital Learning program that delivers interactive, educational programming to all 50 states and 9 countries. We host approximately 180,000 visitors a year and have been a part of Midtown Atlanta for more than 40 years. We are the largest organization of our kind in the world.
