Mari Kawai, Psy.D., BCBA has a diverse range of work experience in the field of behavioral health. Mari started their career as a behavior therapist at Pacific Child and Family Associates in 2003. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as a practicum student at both Heman G Stark Youth Correctional Facility and South Bay Children's Health Center. In 2010, they became a pre-doctoral intern and post-doctoral fellow at County of Orange. Mari then joined Behavioral Health Works, Inc. in 2012 as a Case Supervisor and later became a Clinical Manager from 2014 to 2016. In 2016, they joined Center for Social Dynamics as a Clinical Director, and also served as the Director of Behavior Analysis from 2017 and Director of Behavioral Health from 2018, holding both positions concurrently.

Mari Kawai, Psy.D., BCBA completed their education in Clinical Psychology at Argosy University Orange County from 2006 to 2011. Mari earned a doctoral degree (Psy.D.) during this period, specializing in Clinical Psychology.
