Michael Caponetto has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Michael is currently serving as the CFO at the Center for Social Dynamics since April 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Founding Board Member and Chairman at Gary and Mary West PACE, starting from January 2017.
Before their role at Gary and Mary West PACE, Michael worked at Global 1, where they served as the CEO until April 2022 when the company was sold to an Optum subsidiary. Michael also worked as an Advisor and Advisory Board Member at Global 1 from September 2015 to July 2018.
From June 2017 to January 2018, Michael served as the CFO of SynerMed. Earlier in their career, they held various roles at West Health, including CFO/COO and Co-Manager from May 2011 to May 2017 and Board Member and Representative as Co-Manager of West Health Investment Fund during the same period.
Prior to West Health, Michael worked at Portfolio Companies of Goldman Sachs Special Situations Group (SSG) where they held positions as CFO and Director of Mergers & Acquisitions from September 2008 to May 2011 and CFO, SVP, and Director of Mergers & Acquisitions from February 2006 to September 2008.
Michael's career started in 1992 in Investment Banking - Mergers and Acquisitions. Michael worked as a Senior Principal at TripleTree from March 2004 to February 2006 and as a Managing Director from June 1992 to March 2004. During this time, they gained expertise in mergers and acquisitions, growth capital, recapitalizations, strategic advisory, and principal investing in the healthcare sector.
Michael Caponetto received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Redlands in 1992. Following this, they pursued further education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance and Accounting from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business between 1997 and 1999.
