Marlena Carreras

Co-Community School Director, Water’s Edge Campus, New York at Center for Supportive Schools

After serving as Student Engagement Coordinator at Fordham Leadership Academy in the Bronx for 2 years, Marlena Carreras is now a Co-Community School Director working with the Water’s Edge Campus in New York City. As a Community School Director, Marlena is responsible for the day-to-day management of the community school strategy in collaboration with school leadership and community partners for Urban Assembly School for Music and Art and will collaborate with another Water’s Edge Co-CSD to support Science Skills High School. Prior to joining CSS, she was the After School Site Director at the Arts and Literacy program in Queens where she ran an arts enrichment program for middle school students. Marlena holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Central Florida.
