Takeiyah Brown

Takeiyah Brown is a dedicated education professional currently serving as a Program Advisor at the Center for Supportive Schools and an Academic Advisor at the NYC Department of Education. With a diverse background that includes roles as a Case Manager and a Special Education Teacher, Takeiyah advocates for student support and implements engaging instructional methods. Previous experience includes a fellowship with Educators for Excellence, participation as a Corps Member with Teach For America, and coaching a cheerleading team at New York Edge, where team-building and performance enhancement were emphasized. Takeiyah has also worked as a Marketing Intern at the Greensboro History Museum and as a Teacher at Robins Nest Daycare. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Special Education and Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education, a Bachelor of Arts in Technical Writing from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Early Childhood Education from the State University of New York College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill.
