Martin Høyer Rose has a diverse work experience in various roles. Martin Høyer has worked as a Chief Data Scientist at the Center for Surgical Science (CSS) since 2023. Prior to that, they were a Chief Data Scientist and Director of Data Science at Charlie Tango from 2019 to 2022. At Charlie Tango, they were involved in senior management, data science consulting, and research in AI and healthcare.
Before joining Charlie Tango, Martin worked as a Lead Data Scientist at KMD from 2018 to 2019. In this role, they provided technical leadership and consulting services in the integration of AI into the company's product portfolio. Martin Høyer also worked on collaborative projects and research related to AI technology and ethics.
From 2017 to 2018, Martin served as a Data Scientist at Tryg, where they were responsible for establishing and leading the data science team. Martin Høyer developed procedures, frameworks, and data pipelines to optimize the use of data for creating business value in the insurance industry.
Martin also has experience as the owner of MHRose Consulting, where they undertook various small projects. Notably, they worked as a performance analyst for the Danish Ladies Kayak Team in preparation for the 2016 Olympics.
Earlier in their career, Martin worked as an R&D Engineer at UNEEG medical A/S from 2013 to 2016, gaining extensive knowledge in implantable medical devices, machine learning, and clinical trials. Martin Høyer was involved in product design, data analysis, international collaborations, and regulatory processes.
Martin's educational background includes a Ph.D. from the University of Copenhagen, where they conducted research in applied mathematics, digital signal processing, statistics, and clinical neurophysiology. Martin Høyer also worked as a Clinical Research Assistant at Rigshospitalet and a Research Assistant & Instructor at the University of Copenhagen.
Additionally, Martin has experience as a U18 Kayak Sprint National Team Coach at Dansk Kano og Kajak Forbund in 2006.
Martin Høyer Rose completed their education at the University of Copenhagen. Martin Høyer began with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology and Mathematics, which was completed in an undisclosed year. Martin Høyer then went on to earn a Cand. scient. degree in Human Physiology and Mathematics from the same institution, graduating in 2009. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Neurorehabilitation and Applied Mathematics from the University of Copenhagen, finishing their studies in 2013.
