Center for Sustainable Energy® (CSE) is a national nonprofit that accelerates adoption of clean transportation and distributed energy through effective and equitable program design and administration. 

Governments, utilities and the private sector trust CSE for its data-driven and software-enabled approach, deep domain expertise and customer-focused team. 

CSE works in over a dozen states that are home to a third of all Americans. We effectively, efficiently and equitably launch, manage and optimize incentive programs valued at over $4 billion including:

•	The largest solar program for multifamily affordable housing in the U.S.

CSE’s fee-for-service business model frees it from the influence of shareholders, members and donors, and ensures its independence.

The Legal and Regulatory Team at the Center for Sustainable Energy (CSE) ensures that the organization's programs comply with relevant laws and regulations while advocating for policies that promote clean transportation and distributed energy. This team works closely with government entities, utilities, and industry stakeholders to shape and influence regulatory frameworks and to provide legal oversight for CSE’s initiatives. Their efforts help to maintain CSE's independence and integrity in launching and managing incentive programs.
