Alicja Nutting has extensive experience in research and program management roles. Alicja is currently working at the Center for Tech and Civic Life as a Senior Coordinating Program Manager, a position they have held since July 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Research Manager from March 2021 to June 2022, a Research Manager from October 2018 to March 2021, and a Research Associate from April 2018 to October 2018 at the same organization.
In 2018, Alicja also worked as a Research Assistant at the Center for Latin American and Latino Studies, where they supported their research project on newcomer Central American youth.
From 2016 to 2018, Alicja held the role of Community-Based Learning Graduate Assistant at the Center for Community Engagement & Service. In this role, they oversaw the operations of the Community Service-Learning Program, including recruiting and training student leaders, creating marketing strategies, and supporting faculty in organizing community-based learning courses.
Prior to this, Alicja worked at Stetson University as a Bonner Program Coordinator from July 2015 to June 2016 and as a Program Assistant at the Marchman Program of Civic & Social Responsibility from August 2012 to May 2015. In these positions, they facilitated relationships between the university and community partners, reviewed grant proposals, and conducted research on service-learning methodologies.
Alicja also gained experience at the Council on Hemispheric Affairs, where they worked as a Research Associate & Producer from May 2014 to August 2014. In this role, they conducted research and published articles on indigenous rights, economic development, and social inclusion in Central and South America. Alicja also represented the organization in an interview with Press TV on Central America-U.S. relations.
Alicja Nutting obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Stetson University, where they studied from 2011 to 2015. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Ethics, Peace, and Global Affairs at the American University School of International Service from 2016 to 2018.
