Center for the Collaborative Classroom
Virginia McManus serves as the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager at the Center for the Collaborative Classroom since January 2024, following a role as Evaluation and Data Manager at FluentSeeds. Previously, Virginia was the Operations and Data Coordinator for the K-2 Literacy Liberation Center, working alongside The Oakland REACH, where a rigorous K-3 virtual reading program was launched and led. Virginia has extensive experience in K-12 education, having worked as a K-2 Reading Specialist and a First and Second Grade Teacher at Lighthouse Community Public Schools, as well as a Founding First Grade Teacher at Community Day Arlington Elementary School. Early career roles include being a Founding Match Corps Member and Teacher Trainee at Match Community Day Charter Public School and a Field Research Associate at J-PAL South Asia. Virginia's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Education from Swarthmore College and a Master in Effective Teaching from the Charles Sposato Graduate School of Education.
