Mia Xia is a dedicated policy and communications professional currently serving as a Policy & Communications Intern at ACT Now Illinois and an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Institute for Policy Research at Northwestern University, where research focuses on the Two-Generation Theory and the Working on Womanhood programming. As Chief Programming Officer at Supplies for Dreams, Mia oversees after-school programs and mentors students, while also fulfilling the role of Academic Enrichment Director for the City of Evanston, facilitating community engagement in policy development. Previous experiences include an internship with the U.S. House of Representatives, leadership roles in March For Our Lives Dallas, and research internships at the University of Houston. Mia is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Policy and American Studies at Northwestern University, complemented by a minor in Data Science and a Civic Engagement Certificate.
