Sonya Acosta is a seasoned policy analyst with extensive experience in housing and public policy. Currently serving as a Senior Policy Analyst at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities since June 2020, Sonya previously held positions as a Policy Analyst at the National Low Income Housing Coalition and as a Policy Intern at the same organization. Early career roles included a Data Analysis and Research Intern at Housing Choice Partners and a Marketing and Outreach VISTA at HOPE Fair Housing Center. Sonya began the professional journey as an AmeriCorps Project YES! Member at Northwestern Settlement. Academic credentials include a Master’s Degree in Public Policy & Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor's Degree in International Studies and History from The University of New Mexico, complemented by a brief educational experience at Universidad de Palermo.
