Willis Francis

Contractual Psychotherapist at Center on Halsted

Willis Francis has extensive experience in the mental health field, currently serving as the Managing Director of Supportive Services at Heartland Alliance since March 2010, where previous roles included Director of Clinical Services for Youth and Residential Programs and Associate Director for Clinical Services. Concurrently, Willis has worked as a Contractual Psychotherapist at Center on Halsted since 2007. Additionally, Willis contributed to the academic community as a Preceptor at Northwestern University from September 2018 to June 2019 and served as Adjunct Faculty at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology from September 2008 to May 2011. Prior experience includes positions as a Psychotherapist/Consultant and Child Psychotherapist, as well as Program Manager for Trilogy Behavioral Healthcare. Willis holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University, earned between 1998 and 2000.

Center on Halsted

Center on Halsted is the Midwest's most comprehensive community center dedicated to advancing community and securing the health and well-being of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) community. More than 1,000 community members visit the Center every day, located in the heart of Chicago's Lakeview Neighborhood. We work hard to provide a safe and welcoming environment with programs and services for the entire community. Our programs range from volleyball, dance performances and cooking classes to rapid HIV testing, group therapy and vocational training. In addition, we partner regularly with other organizations and groups from across Chicago and the nation to provide additional programming for the community. Free wi-fi access is available throughout the building including our lobby, reading library and our rooftop terrace. We also offer meeting and reception space, with special discounts for non-profit community groups.
