Gloria Dorame has a diverse range of work experience. Gloria most recently worked as an English Language Arts Teacher and Mathematics Teacher at KIPP Public Schools Northern California. In this role, they created a positive and engaging learning environment, developed lesson plans, and provided targeted feedback and support to help students reach their full potential.

Before that, Gloria worked as a Behavioral Health Technician at the Center for Autism and Related Disorders, LLC. Gloria also served as an Outreach Coordinator at Chicago Public Schools, where they contacted parents/guardians of students with disabilities to offer remedies for delayed or denied services.

Gloria has also worked as a Digital Content Assistant at Chicago Policy Review, where they designed graphics and created work addressing issues of race, class, gender, and climate change. Additionally, they gained research experience as a Research Assistant at the Economic Research Center.

Prior to their education and policy work, Gloria worked as an Optometric Assistant at the Vision Care Clinic, where they handled patient needs, managed medical record information, and communicated with insurance companies. Gloria also worked as a Community Outreach Coordinator, supporting a team of community advocates in addressing homelessness in the San Jose/San Francisco Bay Area.

Gloria's work experience reflects their strong communication skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and passion for social issues and education.

Gloria Dorame completed their Associate of Arts - AA degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities at De Anza College. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Sociology at the University of California, Davis.
