Sophia Cook

Sophia Cook is an experienced professional in the field of environmental engineering, currently serving as a Tailings Engineer Technician at Centerra Gold Inc. since January 2023. Previous roles include positions at Glencore as an Environmental Science Student and Environmental Co-op Student, and at Teck Resources Limited as an Environmental Engineering Co-op Student. Sophia began building a foundation in environmental research and support through roles at the University of Northern British Columbia as an Undergraduate Research Assistant and Student Assistant, as well as earlier experience as a Server and Cashier at On the Go! Gelato and as an Environmental Youth Worker at Vaucroft Improvement District. Sophia holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Northern British Columbia and The University of British Columbia, completed in December 2022.
