Deirdra Stockmann

Deirdra Stockmann serves as the Director of the Division of Quality and Health Outcomes at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, a position held since July 2012, where responsibilities include overseeing health outcome initiatives for Medicaid and CHIP services. Previous roles include Associate Research Director at Imagining America, where Deirdra advanced research in higher education and facilitated national collaborations, and Evaluator at Arts of Citizenship, where program evaluation methodologies were implemented. Deirdra has followed an academic path as an instructor and research assistant at the University of Michigan, working on community engagement and applied research, and earlier as Academically-Based Community Service Coordinator at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on community needs assessments. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
