Sherry Y.

Sherry Y. has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Sherry is currently serving as the VP of CMC Biologics at Centessa Pharmaceuticals since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an entrepreneur in the life science sector at Stealth from April 2021 to January 2022.

From 2015 to 2021, Sherry held various roles at WuXi Biologics, starting as a Director and eventually becoming a Senior Director of CMC Management. During their time there, they managed over ten biologics CMC programs, leading process, analytical, and formulation development. Sherry played a crucial role in driving the delivery of projects on time and within budget, resolving technical, operational, quality, and regulatory challenges.

Before joining WuXi Biologics, they worked as a Consultant in the Life Sciences Sector from September 2011 to June 2015. Prior to that, they had a brief stint as a Summer Associate in Healthcare Investment at Warburg Pincus.

Sherry also worked as a Process Engineer at Analog Devices from September 1996 to October 2002, where they managed integrated transistor development projects and provided critical technical leadership.

Sherry Y. holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan, which they obtained from 1991 to 1996. Sherry began their education journey by earning a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China, where they studied from 1984 to 1989.
