Baorun Mu

Baorun (Lauren) Mu is a PhD candidate in Computer Science at the University of Toronto, with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Specialist and a minor in Statistics. Currently employed as a Research Assistant at the University of Toronto since September 2023 and as a Research Engineer at CentML since October 2022, Baorun has previously worked as a researcher at the Vector Institute from July to October 2022 and as a Teaching Assistant for a Multivariable Calculus course from May 2021 to April 2022 at the University of Toronto. Additionally, Baorun gained experience as an Undergraduate Researcher, focusing on neural network training and second-order optimization methods, and as a Deep Learning Software Engineer Intern at Intel Corporation from May 2020 to April 2021, where Baorun developed and experimented with a Deep Learning Acceleration Compiler for FPGA.
