Eelco Knops

Eelco (Mattias) Knops has extensive experience in leadership roles within the social services and justice sectors. Since May 2023, Eelco serves as the Voorzitter Klant Avies Raad and locatie manager at Centraal Orgaan opvang asielzoekers (COA). Prior to this, Eelco was the owner of Hubertus Care BV from January 2019 to September 2023, and location manager at iHUB Alliantie, overseeing various youth care initiatives. Eelco's background includes serving as directeur at FamilySupporters and holding pivotal positions at the Openbaar Ministerie, where responsibilities included client-focused service management and regional coordination for victim support. Additionally, Eelco contributed to the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Autisme and the Oudervereniging Balans, both as interim deputy director. Eelco's career began at Bureau Jeugdzorg Amsterdam, focusing on crisis management and child placement coordination. Eelco holds a degree from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
