Santo Cruz

Santo Cruz has extensive experience in the legal and government sectors. Santo currently holds the position of Senior VP & Chief Legal Officer at CentraCare, a role they have held since June 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Government and Community Relations & Associate General Counsel at CentraCare from April 2018 to June 2020.

Santo Cruz also has experience in the academic field, serving as an Adjunct Professor at the University of St. Thomas School of Law since August 2015.

Before joining CentraCare and the University of St. Thomas, Santo Cruz worked in various roles in different government departments. Santo served as the Deputy Commissioner at the Minnesota Department of Human Services from January 2016 to March 2018. Prior to that, they held the position of Assistant Commissioner & General Counsel & Director of Government Affairs at the Minnesota Department of Agriculture from January 2014 to January 2016. Santo also worked as an Attorney at the Minnesota Department of Commerce from March 2013 to January 2014.

Furthermore, Santo Cruz gained experience as a Prosecutor at Hennepin County from August 2010 to April 2013.

Santo Cruz holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Philosophy from the University of St. Thomas. Additionally, they have a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from the University of St. Thomas School of Law.
