Ian Jones

Ian Jones, CFA has a comprehensive work experience in the finance industry. Ian most recently served as the Director of Capital Markets Trading at Central 1 starting in November 2019. Prior to that, they held the role of Senior Trader of Balance Sheet Risk Management at the same company from July 2014 to November 2019. Before joining Central 1, Ian worked at BMO Capital Markets as a Director from 2005 to 2013, where they specialized in debt products and managed a trading book of various securities. Ian started their career as a Senior Investment Analyst at ING Investment Management Inc, where they managed money market portfolios and co-managed Canadian fixed income portfolios. Ian also gained experience as a Fixed Income Analyst at TD Asset Management from 2000 to 2002.

Ian Jones, CFA obtained their Bachelor of Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo, where they studied from 1995 to 2000. Ian went on to pursue additional certifications, including the Canadian Securities Course (CSC®) in 2011 from the Canadian Securities Institute and the Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH®) in 2021, also from the Canadian Securities Institute.
