Cary Carpenter

Cary Carpenter has had a diverse and senior-level work experience in the commercial real estate and finance industry. From 2010, they worked as the Managing Director of CRE Capital Markets, Trading & Syndication at Starwood Capital Group, where they helped develop Starwood Property Trust into a full-service lending platform. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2010, they were a Partner at Coastal Capital Partners II, responsible for loan acquisition efforts. cary also served as an Executive Vice President at Countrywide Commercial Real Estate Finance from 2004 to 2008, where they successfully originated over 2,200 loans. Cary has held various partner and managerial positions in other esteemed companies such as Coastal Capital Partners I, Precept Corporation, and Nomura Asset Management. cary started their career as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte, where they gained experience in loan origination and securitization, real estate valuation, and equity investment analysis.

Cary Carpenter attended Kansas State University from 1984 to 1988, where they obtained a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree with a focus on Architecture. Later, from 1992 to 1993, Cary attended Columbia University, where they pursued an M.S. in Real Estate Development and Finance with a concentration in Commercial Real Estate Finance.
