Tom Stackhouse

President/CEO at Central Alabama Electric Cooperative

Tom Stackhouse has extensive work experience in the electric cooperative industry. Tom started their career in 1978 as a Credit Manager at Brad Ragan dba Carolina Tire Co before moving on to work at Central Electric Membership Corp in 1982 as GM/CEO. Tom then joined Central Alabama Electric Cooperative in 1997, where they served as President & CEO and also held the position of Board Member at the Alabama Rural Electric Association and PowerSouth Energy Cooperative. In 2008, they became Chairman of Meridian Cooperative and also served as a Board Member at GRESCO. In 2010, Stackhouse became a Customer at American Behavioral and a Board Member at Touchstone Energy. In 2018, they became President & CEO of Central Access, Inc, a subsidiary of Central Alabama Electric Cooperative. Additionally, they were an Executive Board Member at Tukabatchee Area Council BSA.

Tom Stackhouse attended Jordan Matthews High School from 1974 to 1977. After completing high school, they enrolled at High Point University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Economics in 1982.
