Alena Green

Alena Green has extensive experience in economic development and community investment, most recently serving as the Director of Economic Development at Central Atlanta Progress from September 2015 to January 2022. In this role, Alena cultivated relationships with corporate stakeholders and nonprofits, managed over $3 million in community investment initiatives, and advocated for economic development policies. Prior to this, Alena was the Strategic Initiatives Team Lead for Community Investment at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, where responsibilities included developing partnerships with agencies and advising on Community Reinvestment Act strategies. Alena's early career included roles as a Policy and Communications Coordinator at Morford Drulis Associates, an intern in Planning & Community Development with the City of New Brunswick, NJ, and a Development Research Intern at The Carter Center. Alena holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Rutgers University.
