Edvard Makinyan

Edvard Makinyan is an experienced professional in the insurance sector, currently serving as the Insurance System Regulator at the Central Bank of Armenia since April 2021. Prior to this role, Edvard was a Senior Specialist at Ameriabank CJSC from February 2019 to April 2021, focusing on business regulation and advisory. Earlier experience includes serving as the Process Improvement and Methodology Coordinator within the Regulatory and Development Department at the "Armenian Motor Insurers' Bureau" ULE from August 2011 to February 2019. Edvard's career in the insurance industry began at Armenia Insurance LLC, where a role in the Department of Marketing and Methodology was held from June 2010 to August 2011. Edvard obtained a Master’s Degree in Insurance from the Armenian State University of Economics, completing studies from 2006 to 2012.
