James Carroll

James Carroll is a Senior Economist at the Central Bank of Ireland, appointed in September 2021, following a tenure at Trinity College Dublin where significant roles included Research Fellow and Postdoctoral Research Fellow focused on sustainable transport and social innovation in the energy sector. James has a strong background in economics, evidenced by a Ph.D. in Energy Economics and multiple master's degrees from Trinity College Dublin and Technological University Dublin. Earlier career experiences include an Economist role at the Central Bank of Ireland, and business ownership at Cois Farraige Foods, which provided valuable insights into entrepreneurship. Additionally, James has gained extensive teaching experience through roles as an Assistant Lecturer and Lecturer in economic courses at various educational institutions.
