Stephen Byrne is a Senior Economist at the Central Bank of Ireland, with extensive experience in macroeconomic forecasting and research within the Irish Economic Analysis Division since July 2014. Prior to this role, Stephen held various positions within the Central Bank, including Economist and Economist-Statistician. Before joining the Central Bank, Stephen worked as a Tutor in undergraduate and A Level Economics and interned at Irish Aid, Department of Foreign Affairs. Stephen's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics from Trinity College Dublin, an MSc in Economics from the University of Sussex, and a B.A. in Economics and English from the University of Limerick, complemented by participation in the Erasmus Programme at Oxford Brookes University.
