Peter Cronin

Peter Cronin has extensive experience in credit risk management across various financial institutions. Currently serving as Senior Inspector of Credit Risk at the Central Bank of Ireland since April 2014, Peter conducts thematic and targeted credit risk inspections and has participated in inspections in The Netherlands and other locations. Previously, Peter held the position of Senior Manager at Danske Bank, focusing on the recovery and restructuring of distressed loans and properties. As Head of Credit at Bank of Ireland, Peter managed the Private Banking Credit Team, ensuring high-quality credit underwriting. In earlier roles at Rabobank Group and AIB, Peter handled high-risk loan exposures and developed customer relationships, showcasing strong negotiation and management skills throughout a career spanning over three decades.
