Ruth Knott

Ruth Knott currently serves as the Head of Operational Risk Management at the Central Bank of Ireland, a position held since May 2021. Prior to this role, Ruth accumulated extensive experience at Bank of Ireland from May 1999 to December 2020, where duties included leading a strategic Group programme for the establishment of a Business Process Management Center of Excellence, designing risk assessment policies, managing a Business Control Framework implementation, and overseeing regulatory and operational risk management. Educational qualifications include a degree in Banking Risk Management Practices from University College Dublin and certification from the Association of Compliance Officers in Ireland (ACOI).
