Thomas Conefrey

Thomas Conefrey is an experienced economist with a robust background in economic research and analysis. Currently serving as an economist at the Central Bank of Ireland since January 2011, Thomas has previously held the position of Chief Economist and Head of Secretariat at the Irish Fiscal Advisory Council from July 2014 to December 2016. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Assistant/Research Analyst at the Economic and Social Research Institute from September 2007 to December 2010. Thomas holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics from University College Dublin, a Post Graduate Diploma in Statistics from Trinity College Dublin, a Master of Arts in Economics from Maynooth University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Trinity College Dublin.
